This is the debut album by Cypriot pop-rock quartet.

Belua formed a year and a half ago, and after a few live gigs, including performances at Fengaros Festival 2014 and 2015, they went into the studio in the Autumn of 2015. The resulting album called «As Good A Time As Any» contains ten original songs, written by Mikaela Tsangari and Zara Der Arakelian. The album moves around the style of pop-rock, but bearing strong influences from the blues, psychedelic and folk music, which blends with the band’s trademark harmonies between Der Arakelian and Mikaela Tsangari. Their compositions range from complex pieces in οdd time-signatures to simple ballads and acapella songs, but always maintaining a simplicity in the way the songs are arranged not further from the sound from the band’s live performances.

The album was recorded and produced by Mikaela Tsangari at eleven63 studio, while the artowrk and layout were designed by fellow band member Zara Der Arakelian. Further production was done by the rest of the band, Mario Michael and Orestis Savva, and the mixing was done by Andreas Trachonitis. The mastering was done by Yiannis Christodoulatos at Sweetspot studio. The song Change is already available on Youtube, while the videoclip for the second single, Mother, will be released soon.

Αυτό είναι το πρώτο άλμπουμ του κυπριακού γκρουπ Belua.

Οι Belua σχηματίστηκαν πριν ενάμιση χρόνο και μετά απο αρκετές εμφανίσεις, συμπεριλαμβανομένων και των Φεστιβάλ Φέγγαρος 2014 και 2015, μπήκαν στο στούντιο το φθινόπωρο του 2015. Ο δίσκος, που ονομάζεται «Αs Good A Time As Any», περιλαμβάνει δέκα αυθεντικά κομμάτια γραμμένα από τη Μικαέλα Τσαγγάρη και τη Ζάρα ντερ Αρακελιάν. Το γενικότερο ύφος που κινείται ο ήχος του γκρουπ είναι ποπ – ροκ, ενώ διακρίνονται έντονα στοιχεία από blues, psychedelic και folk, τα οποία δένουν με τις χαρακτηριστικές διφωνίες / πολυφωνίες των Τσαγγάρη – ντερ Αρακελιάν. Οι συνθέσεις των Belua περιλαμβάνουν από κομμάτια σε σύνθετες φόρμες και μονά μέτρα, σε μπαλάντες και χορωδιακά acapella, διατηρώντας πάντοτε μια απλότητα στην ενορχήστρωση που δεν απομακρύνεται καθόλου από τον ζωντανό ήχο της μπάντας.

O δίσκος ηχογραφήθηκε με παραγωγό και ηχολήπτρια τη Μικαέλα Τσαγγάρη στο στούντιο eleven63 ενώ τα γραφικά είναι του επίσης μέλους της μπάντας, Ζάρα ντερ Αρακελιαν. Επιπλέον χρέη παραγωγού εκτέλεσαν οι Belua, ο Μάριος Μιχαήλ και ο Ορέστης Σάββα, ενώ τις μίξεις ανέλαβε ο Αντρέας Τραχωνίτης. Το μαστερινκ επιμελήθηκε στην Αθήνα ο Γιάννης Χριστοδουλάτος.Το κομμάτι Change είναι ήδη διαθέσιμο στο Youtube, ενώ σύντομα αναμένεται να κυκλοφορήσει και το βίντεο του δεύτερου single Μοther.
