The Meliartos score nods to the silver screen soundtracks of Mimis Plessas and Mikis Theodorakis. References to Hiotis, rebetiko, Sinatra and Greek teddy-boy (“teddyboides”) shake and garage rock were a starting point for Trachonitis and Moumtzis, resulting in a retro sonic timewarp laced with overdriven bouzouki solos, suave organ melody lines, and velvet smooth orchestrations to accompany Meliartos’ nostalgic storyline.
